Initial Teacher Training (PGCE)

Earn qualified teacher status in one of eight secondary subjects including Mathematics, Science, Religious Education, Modern Foreign Languages, Media Studies, ICT, Business Administration and Finance, and Society, Health and Development.

Postgraduate Professional Development (PPD)

Study at M (Masters) level with your colleagues to gain a PGCert, helping you work towards an MEd from the University of Exeter (South West) or an MA from the Institute of Education (London).

Foundation Degree in Teaching and Learning

Study full time while you work. This programme enhances professional practice for teaching assistans, unqualified teachers, cover supervisors and nursery assistants. Run in partnership with the University of Worcester.

Foundation Degree in Integrated Children's Services

Designed to develop skills in inter-agency working and is ideal for all children's services workers in education, health and social services, police and youth support. Run in partnership with the University of Worcester.

Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Education (Theory and Practice) (BAEd)

The aim of this course is to improve professional practice in the workplace and gives you the opportunity to boost your higher education qualifications to Honours Degree level.

Global Dimension

The Learning Institute is working on behalf of the Department for International Development to promote the understanding of poverty reduction and sustainability in schools and communities in the South West.
